Ever since selfies became a thing over the past 5 years or so, they have succeeded in taking over our lives, for better and worse. Here in Louisiana, Driving Selfies are a thing, and we rank as the top U.S. state for the most Instagram-posted #DrivingSelfies.

That is not something to be proud of.

A study found that Louisianans posted 2.53 selfies while driving per 100,000 residents, which is double compared to New Yorkers.

The Auto Insurance Center believes a large part of this is from tourists, but tourists can, and will, get in trouble if they are caught driving and using their phone.
